We're looking for Masters and PhD researchers to work with leading AI labs — designing complex, high-level problems that push the boundaries of machine reasoning. Your academic rigor and research instincts won't just sit on a shelf here. They'll be put to work building the next generation of AI.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No prior AI industry experience needed — your advanced research background is exactly what we're looking for.

What You'll Do
- Design and solve advanced, multi-disciplinary problems with real-world relevance that challenge and improve AI reasoning capabilities
- Apply your domain expertise to develop complex problem statements that expose gaps in AI understanding
- Review and evaluate AI-generated outputs for academic rigor, logical depth, and technical accuracy
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to refine model performance
- Ensure clarity, depth, and scholarly precision across all deliverables
- Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Hold a Master's or PhD in a STEM or highly technical field from a leading university
- Have a strong track record in research, publications, or complex technical project work
- Think rigorously — you approach problems with structure, depth, and intellectual honesty
- Communicate complex ideas clearly and precisely in written English
- Self-motivated and consistent when working independently without close supervision
- Comfortable engaging with challenging, open-ended problems across disciplines
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality, or AI evaluation workflows
- Proficiency in Python, R, or other research-oriented programming languages
- Background spanning multiple STEM disciplines or cross-domain research experience
- Familiarity with AI tools or model evaluation frameworks as an end user
