Manufacturing Shipping Clerk

We are looking for a responsible Shipping Clerk to perform a variety of shipping and logistics warehouse support. Duties of a Shipping Clerk include:

1. Track shipments: Monitor the status of outgoing and incoming shipments, providing timely updates to relevant parties. Resolve issues related to lost or delayed shipments.

2. Quality control: Perform quality checks on products before they are shipped to ensure they meet established quality standards. Report any quality issues to the appropriate personnel.

3. Customer service: Interact with customers and vendors regarding shipping inquiries, tracking information, and delivery schedules. Address inquiries and provide excellent customer service.

4. Troubleshoot and resolve shipping issues: Identify and resolve any shipping-related problems promptly, such as incorrect addresses, missing items, or damaged goods.

5. Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities, including receipts, shipments, and returns. Update databases and document any shipping-related expenses.

6. Communication: Collaborate with other departments, including the warehouse, purchasing, and customer service, to ensure seamless shipping processes and timely deliveries.

7. Inventory management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, ensuring that stock is organized and easily accessible.

8. Prepare shipping documents: Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and bills of lading as required. Ensure all documentation complies with relevant shipping regulations and company policies.

9. arrange transportation: Coordinate with transportation providers (e.g., carriers, couriers, freight companies) to schedule pickups and deliveries

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations
• Previous experience with 53ft reefer trailers
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and generating shipping documents
• Strong sense of time organization and urgency
• Knowledge of shipping software and equipment, such as label printers and scales
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Physical ability to lift and move packages of various weights
• Knowledge of shipping regulations and safety guidelines
• Ability to work independently and within a team
