Floor Lead for Glass Manufacturing

Ultraseal Glass is a leading company specializing in high-performance insulated glass units in a range of products, based in Etobicoke. We are expanding and are looking for a Floor Lead for Glass Manufacturing to join our team!

Reporting to the General Manager, the Floor Lead will be responsible for ensuring that products meet both customer and company standards, and that production goals and targets are achieved.

Responsibilities:

• Safely build high-quality products efficiently and on time, focusing on minimizing waste and overall costs.
• Supervise the daily operations of the production staff.
• Work directly with operators on the production floor.
• Assist on the production line when needed.
• Ensure compliance with production schedules.
• Manage and prioritize production processes and implement production plans.
• Ensure efficient compliance with production schedules and budget.
• Ensure the safety of the workforce.
• Take ownership of customer issues and resolve them effectively.
• Identify problem areas, recommend solutions, and implement improvements.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a College Diploma in Operations Management.
• 1-3 years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Extensive knowledge of glass line products, work processes, and procedures.
• Strong technical background with the ability to understand machinery, systems, and processes.
• Must be mechanically inclined and adept at troubleshooting minor equipment issues.
• Must have strong training and mentorship skills.
• Strong multi-tasking abilities, with proven experience in maintaining calm under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
• Strong team-building and leadership skills, with experience in a supervisory role.
• Forklift operation license preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• Must be flexible with availability and able to work overtime as needed.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
