This role is hybrid and requires working from our client's office in downtown Toronto a minimum of 2 days per week (subject to change). We are seeking a Junior QA Analyst to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Selenium automation using Java and possess a strong understanding of software testing methodologies. This role involves developing automated test scripts, executing regression and functional testing, identifying defects, and working closely with development teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Candidates with Banking or Salesforce experience will be given preference. Your future duties and responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.
• Design and maintain automation frameworks for web applications.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies.
• Execute manual testing when automation is not feasible.
• Maintain test cases and testing documentation.
• Support CI/CD testing initiatives.
• Participate in production validation and release testing. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of QA Automation experience.
• Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Good programming skills in Java.
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience with regression and functional testing.
• Familiarity with defect management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications
• Banking or Financial Services experience.
• Salesforce testing experience.
• API testing using Postman or REST Assured.
• Git and Jenkins experience.
• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Exposure to BDD/Cucumber.
