Junior Quality Assurance Automation Analyst

Position Description
This role is hybrid and requires working from our client's office in downtown Toronto a minimum of 2 days per week (subject to change).

We are seeking a Junior QA Analyst to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Selenium automation using Java and possess a strong understanding of software testing methodologies. This role involves developing automated test scripts, executing regression and functional testing, identifying defects, and working closely with development teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Candidates with Banking or Salesforce experience will be given preference.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.
• Design and maintain automation frameworks for web applications.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies.
• Execute manual testing when automation is not feasible.
• Maintain test cases and testing documentation.
• Support CI/CD testing initiatives.
• Participate in production validation and release testing.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of QA Automation experience.
• Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Good programming skills in Java.
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience with regression and functional testing.
• Familiarity with defect management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Banking or Financial Services experience.
• Salesforce testing experience.
• API testing using Postman or REST Assured.
• Git and Jenkins experience.
• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Exposure to BDD/Cucumber.
• Experience working in CI/CD environments.

"CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $55,000–$105,000. This role is an existing vacancy."
