Migration Deployment Specialist At Capgemini Red Deer

Join Capgemini as a Migration Deployment Specialist focused on IBM Z Workload Scheduler. This pivotal role involves leading mainframe scheduling migrations, leveraging deep z/OS expertise and analytical skills. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in scheduling conversions, you will support migration activities across development, test, and production environments.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will utilize your solid analytical abilities to drive successful workload migrations and ensure effective execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead migration of batch scheduling workloads to IBM Z Workload Scheduler
- Analyze legacy platforms and translate them into IZWS structures
- Execute iterative migration cycles and resolve dependencies
- Monitor batch workload execution and identify issues
- Create and maintain migration documentation and procedures
Requirements
- 5+ years of mainframe experience (OS/390, z/OS)
- 5+ years of experience with IBM Z Workload Scheduler
- Advanced proficiency in TSO/ISPF and JCL
- Expertise in REXX scripting for automation
- Solid communication skills for technical collaboration
