Field Support Specialist for Network Operations

Become a Network Field Support Specialist, where your focus will be on optimizing military network infrastructure in diverse environments. This role requires attention to detail and technical expertise. We’re looking for professionals in Calgary, Ottawa, or CFB Kingston to maintain and enhance Canadian Forces network connectivity. You'll engage in troubleshooting, support users, and ensure security protocol compliance, all while being prepared for travel both domestically and internationally. Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and document network issues effectively
- Implement and manage firewalls, routers, and VPNs
- Collaborate with IT teams on infrastructure upgrades
- Support end-users with connectivity challenges
- Conduct regular system updates to enhance performance
- 1 year of service with the Canadian military or similar experience
- 3+ years in IT infrastructure management
- Relevant two-year post-secondary education
- Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and network security
- Must be willing to travel and work non-traditional hours
