Elevate your culinary career with HAKKA BISTRO as an Experienced Sous Chef. In this full-time role, you'll oversee kitchen operations and prepare authentic Hakka, Indian, and Nepali dishes. Join the vibrant kitchen team at HAKKA BISTRO located on Parliament Street in Toronto. As a Sous Chef, you'll support the Head Chef in menu planning and daily food preparation while ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and quality. You'll supervise staff and coordinate daily workflow to maintain smooth and efficient kitchen operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily tasks
- Assist Head Chef with menu planning and preparation
- Prepare Hakka, Indian, and Nepali dishes
- Train team members on cooking techniques and food safety
- Maintain inventory and ensure compliance with hygiene standards
- 2-3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen
- Knowledge of Hakka, Indian, and Nepali cuisines
- Strong multitasking abilities in high-volume settings
- Familiarity with food safety and temperature control
- Availability for shifts, evenings, and weekends
