Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in office)

Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Schedule: Rotating shifts between 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM (Monday-Friday)

What You'll Be Doing

As a Customer Service Professional, you will serve as the first point of contact for plan members, helping them navigate their group insurance benefits and resolving a variety of inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle approximately 50 inbound customer calls per day
• Respond to inquiries regarding group insurance benefits, claims, coverage, and plan balances
• Investigate and explain claim decisions, including declined or partially paid claims
• Troubleshoot member account and system-related issues
• Provide accurate and professional customer service via phone and email
• Navigate multiple systems simultaneously to research and resolve inquiries
• Deliver a positive customer experience while meeting quality standards and service targets
• Participate in ongoing training and cross-training opportunities

Required Qualifications

Must-Haves

• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to learn new products, systems, and processes
• Stable work history, preferably with at least 1 year in recent roles
• Strong computer skills and experience navigating multiple applications simultaneously
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to show empathy while maintaining professionalism and policy adherence
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule and attend the office three days per week (Tuesday-Thursday)

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Previous contact centre experience
• Group Benefits or insurance experience
• Salesforce experience
• College diploma or university degree
• Experience working in financial services or banking

Candidates must:

• Have a private workspace suitable for working from home
• Be able to connect directly to their modem using an Ethernet cable
• Be available to complete the full training schedule
• Successfully complete required pre-employment checks

This is a Contract position based out of Halifax, NS.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
