The Junior Scheduler will support the scheduling team in the development, maintenance, monitoring, and reporting of project schedules. This role is intended for a candidate who is developing their scheduling expertise and will work under the guidance of experienced schedulers. The candidate will assist with schedule development, updates, progress tracking, data validation, reporting, and coordination with project stakeholders. Experience in industrial, construction, hydroelectric, or project controls environments is an asset, but the role is primarily focused on learning, supporting recurring scheduling activities, and contributing to schedule quality and reporting accuracy.

The following responsibilities form the core of this role in our Canadian team.

•    Assist experienced schedulers with the development, update, and maintenance of project schedules;
•    Support the alignment of project schedules with project execution plans, milestones, and reporting requirements;
•    Collect progress updates from project team members, engineering, procurement, logistics, manufacturing, construction, and other stakeholders;
•    Enter and update progress information in scheduling tools under the supervision of experienced schedulers;
•    Assist in validating schedule data for completeness, consistency, logic, coding, milestones, and alignment with company procedures;
•    Support basic schedule quality checks, including missing logic, constraints, out-of-sequence activities, and date inconsistencies;
•    Assist with the preparation and maintenance of baseline schedules, update schedules, milestone schedules, lookahead schedules, manpower curves, and mobilization plans;
•    Assist in preparing schedule extracts, activity lists, progress summaries, variance reports, dashboards, customer progress reports, and monthly or quarterly reports;
•    Learn and apply company scheduling procedures, industry best practices, and schedule quality standards;
•    Support continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling templates, tools, reports, data quality, and work processes;

Required
•    Diploma or degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience;
•    Interest in project planning, scheduling, project controls, construction, or industrial project execution;
•    Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to work accurately with structured data;
•    Experience working with Primavera P6 and willingness to deepen knowledge of the tool
•    Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures, standards, and instructions;
•    Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines;
•    Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with project team members and stakeholders;
•    Ability to ask questions, escalate issues, and seek guidance when required;
•    Bilingual, French and English, spoken and written;
•    Short assignments may require travel.

An asset:
•    Exposure to Primavera P6, MS Project, Power BI, or other project controls tools;
•    Experience supporting project reporting, planning, coordination, document control, or data management activities;
•    Experience in industrial, construction, manufacturing, or hydroelectric projects;
•    Knowledge of basic project management concepts such as milestones, dependencies, progress updates, and critical path;
•    Construction or field exposure;
