Our client, specialised in post disaster investigations, is looking for a Junior Civil Engineer to work on post-disaster recovery projects.

• Conduct surveys and make observations to determine the cause of the incident, whether it involves a residential, commercial, industrial, or agricultural buildings;
• Conduct tests and simulations in the lab to verify explanatory hypotheses;
• Review technical and regulatory documents;
• Explain the process that led to your conclusions, communicated both verbally and in writing;
• Travel throughout Quebec (and, less frequently, outside Quebec) to determine the origin and cause of incidents;
• Serve as an expert witness in court when required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Civil or Construction Engineering, member of the OEQ (CPI);
• At least 1 year of relevant experience (building structures, environment, building construction and disaster recovery);
• Participate in promotional activities and be able to maintain the company's network of professional contacts;
• Available to travel throughout Quebec and for training in Canada and the United States;
• Bilingual.
