Human Rights Policy Advisor in Honduras

Make a meaningful impact as a Human Rights Policy Advisor for renewable energy in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Drive inclusive policies in the renewable sector through workshops and consultations. As a volunteer with AHER, you will develop human rights policies that benefit renewable energy companies. Your role requires a minimum of two years of experience in project design within social and energy contexts. You will conduct workshops and produce reports to help adapt policies to meet human rights standards for both government and community stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and facilitate workshops for government and community engagement
- Lead inclusive consultation processes in the private sector
- Create reports to guide advocacy efforts and engage stakeholders
- Integrate human rights considerations into environmental assessments
- Document policies and recommend improvements based on best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences or International Development
- Minimum 2 years of project execution experience
- Familiar with climate change contexts
- Strong analytical and teamwork skills
- Intermediate Spanish proficiency required
