Volunteer Role

This volunteer placement offers a unique opportunity to help transform how our partner, Fundación wwb Colombia, captures, manages, and uses its data to measure social impact. The main objective is to translate a comprehensive technical assessment of the foundation's data value chain into a robust data architecture and governance framework.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and basic implementation of the data standardization project following an internal audit that identified over 3,000 variables and high fragmentation.
• Align solutions with the foundation’s current platforms, such as the CRM and existing information systems.
• Provide high‑level recommendations to refine data capture logic, automate auditing, unify silos, and scale for future predictive analytics and AI.
• Architecturally design platform integration, translating technical assessments into a high‑level data architecture that links the CRM, virtual classrooms, and offline forms.
• Apply the dimensional model (person, household, business) to 3,057 identified variables, focusing on the 80% requiring wording adjustments.
• Design automated validation rules to replace manual Excel‑based auditing and re‑contact processes.
• Develop technical requirements for transitioning from static reports to advanced predictive models and artificial intelligence.
• Define a governance framework, including roles, responsibilities, and automated quality controls to replace manual contact verification.

Qualifications

• Solid professional background in Economics, Statistics, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Information Science, Business Administration, or related fields.
• 3 to 5 years of practical experience in operational implementation of information systems, data management, data quality assurance, and analytical support in medium and large organizations.
• Proven experience designing and managing data capture and storage systems for analysis, visualization, and process automation.
• Experience developing relational data maps and modular data collection tools that enable reliable monitoring and decision‑making for social programmes.
• Strong knowledge of data management tools and platforms, including CRM systems, digital forms, relational databases, and Google Workspace or similar tools.
• Experience working with social organizations, NGOs, or social impact projects, especially with vulnerable populations and sensitive data.
• Ability to translate technical and strategic data guidelines into clear, practical operational processes for non‑technical teams.
• Strong organizational skills, clear and effective communication, operational problem‑solving, process supervision, monitoring, and a collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to work on‑site as part of a team.
