Director of Corporate Legal Affairs

Join Transat A.T. as the Director of Corporate Legal Affairs in Montreal and streamline governance, compliance, and legal advice for corporate transactions. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring deep expertise in securities law. You will work directly with the Chief Legal Officer, making a significant impact on corporate governance and regulatory matters. With at least ten years of experience, you'll manage critical transactions, contribute to the Corporate Secretariat, and ensure compliance with securities laws across Canada. This role requires a high degree of professionalism and autonomy. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary legal advisor on corporate matters
- Prepare agendas and documents for Board and committee meetings
- Ensure compliance with disclosure obligations and deadlines
- Advise on best practices in corporate governance
- Mentor junior legal team members for development
- Membership in the Quebec Bar and ten years of relevant experience
- In-depth understanding of Canadian corporate laws
- Proficiency in legal documentation and analysis
- Bilingual in French and English; Spanish skills are a plus
- Familiarity with digital collaborative tools essential
