Ajax Family Practice & Walk-In Clinic is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Physician Assistant to work closely with one of our family physicians in a busy, community-based primary care practice.

This position is focused on supporting a specific physician’s patient roster and assisting with continuity of care within an established family practice. The PA will work alongside the physician to help manage patient flow, follow-ups, preventative care, and day-to-day clinical support in a well-organized and supportive environment.

Our clinic is physician-owned, uses OSCAR EMR, and includes full administrative support, multiple family physicians, and an on-site pharmacy.

What You'll Do

• Work directly alongside a family physician to support patient care and clinic flow
• Conduct patient histories, assessments, documentation, and follow-up care under physician supervision
• Assist with chronic disease management, preventative care, and patient education
• Support continuity of care for the physician’s existing patient roster
• Maintain accurate and timely charting using OSCAR EMR
• Collaborate closely with clinic staff and physicians to provide a positive patient experience

Required

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Certified through the Physician Assistant Certification Council of Canada (PACCC) or eligible
• Ability to work collaboratively within a physician-led practice

Preferred

• Experience in family medicine, primary care, or walk-in settings
• Familiarity with OSCAR EMR
• Comfortable working in a busy clinic environment

• Strong communication skills, with confidence collaborating closely alongside the supervising physician and clinic team
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage documentation, follow-ups, results, and patient flow effectively
• Comfort working in a physician-led, team-based primary care environment
• A commitment to continuity of care and supporting long-term patient relationships within an established family practice
• Professionalism, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a busy clinic setting
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to support the day-to-day needs of the physician’s practice and patients
