Reporting to the Director of continuous improvement and industrialization, the continuous improvement and quality engineer is responsible for deploying improvement strategies as well as managing productivity. He acts both as a counsellor and project manager in order to develop a common culture in our practices and thus create added value at the process level.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• In collaboration with the production team, develop and raise performance standards by deploying performance indicators and implementing new strategies to achieve objectives and deliverables;
• Identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective action processes
• Act as a change agent when implementing new, more efficient production strategies (methods, equipment, processes, systems);
• Write or participate in the writing of processes and procedures;
• Analyze and apply corrective / preventive actions related to delays, quality defects, rejections and non-conformities;
• Provide training, coaching and support to production staff in the application of production procedures and methods.
• Ensure the proper functioning of the company's Health and Safety programs as well as the smooth running of the committee. Be part of corporate health and safety committees and produce the requested monthly reports.

Minimun Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or equivalent;
• 1-3 years of experience in the manufacturing sector;
• Proficiency in the Office suite (Project, Visio, Excel and Powerpoint) and AutoCAD (asset);
• Good knowledge of French and English (oral and written).

Knowledge and Skills

• Good knowledge of quality tools and processes;
• Experience in change management and continuous improvement;
• Ability to manage priorities, autonomy and analytical mind;
• Communication, leadership and teamwork skills;
• Ability to coach production staff.
