Jr. Technical Business Analyst

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join a high-performing Credit Risk Technology team within a leading financial institution. This role supports critical non-financial risk applications and workflow systems (OpenPages) , contributing to quarterly releases and continuous enhancements.

The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis fundamentals with technical aptitude and thrives in a fast-paced, stakeholder-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements for system enhancements and releases
• Partner with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to ensure requirements align with business objectives
• Provide hands-on support by navigating and understanding supported applications (e.g., workflow tools, OpenPages)
• Conduct impact analysis and support testing, UAT, and change management activities
• Perform basic SQL queries and data analysis; support ad hoc reporting and dashboard development (Power BI or similar tools)
• Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously within Agile and/or Waterfall SDLC environments

Must Have:

• 2–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a technical or systems-focused environment
• Strong understanding of SDLC processes , including requirements documentation and testing lifecycle
• Experience with workflow systems or risk management platforms (OpenPages is a strong asset)
• Working knowledge of SQL ; exposure to Power BI or other reporting tools is a plus
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technology teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Toronto, ON.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
