Teaching Assistant for BCH4932F Biochemistry

Contribute to the academic success of students in the Biochemistry Seminar at the University of Ottawa as a Teaching Assistant for BCH4932F. Prepare tutorials, grade assignments, and engage directly with students. This part-time Teaching Assistant role for the Winter 2027 semester is located at the Main Campus. You will primarily focus on preparation, grading, and student interactions for the Infection and Immunity Seminar. Candidates must have a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and complete WHMIS and health safety training to support a nurturing learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver engaging tutorials
- Grade assignments promptly and fairly
- Answer student queries with clarity
- Proctor exams and maintain academic integrity
- Collaborate with supervising professor and adapt content
- B.Sc. in Biochemistry or related fields
- Completed WHMIS and Health Safety workshops
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to student support and academic integrity
