Purpose of the position The position: Coordinates Council meetings (invitations, agendas, meeting packages, minutes, meeting follow up, and serves as recording secretary). Provides supervision and leadership for Municipal Elections & Census Projects including electronic voting functions as well asscheduling, training, mentoring, recruiting, releasing, and evaluating all direct reports. Provides peer support to other leaders and participates in review of policies, procedures and new initiatives requested by the Senior Leadership Team. Develops a positive and proactive customer service philosophy throughout the department. Prepares department-related letters, applications, reports, status updates, and requests (i.e. Active Dissemination & Routine Disclosure, Access to Information Act (ATIA), Protection of Privacy Act (POPA), Council Reports, petitions, etc.). Provides advice, support, and guidance within area of expertise to staff and serves on interdepartmental project teams and Council Committees as required. Assists the Lead in annual work plan and budget Ensures strong documentation, tracking and file maintenance controls are in place. Represents the County on local committees or boards as requested. Prepares department-related letters, applications, reports, status updates, and requests (i.e. Active Dissemination & Routine Disclosure, ATIA/POPA, Council Reports, petitions, etc.). Coordinates open houses and training sessions. Manages Municipal Elections & Census Projects. Serves as Privacy of Information Act Coordinator and Commissioner of Oaths. Other duties as assigned.
