Project Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support project teams in the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure, industrial, and construction projects. This role works closely with Project Managers and field teams to help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
This is a hands-on project support position offering exposure to project controls, scheduling, procurement, cost management, and client reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Project Controls & Cost Support
- Assist with budget tracking and cost reporting
- Support project forecasting and estimates-to-complete
- Monitor labour, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs
- Assist with change order documentation and pricing support
Scheduling & Planning
- Support maintenance of project schedules using project management software
- Participate in planning and coordination meetings
- Track project progress against established schedules and milestones
Documentation & Compliance
- Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, drawings, and revisions
- Support quality control documentation and project closeout packages
- Ensure document control procedures are followed and maintained
Procurement & Contract Administration
- Assist with purchase orders and subcontract administration
- Track material deliveries and supplier performance
- Support coordination between vendors, subcontractors, and project teams
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports
- Assist with project billing and reporting requirements
- Maintain accurate and organized project records and files
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in a Project Coordinator or project support role within construction, infrastructure, industrial, engineering, or related sectors
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field
- Experience supporting infrastructure, heavy civil, industrial, or construction projects is preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is an asset
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in regulated industries such as utilities, energy, transportation, or industrial construction
- Eligibility to obtain security clearance where required
