Assistant Lead Baker

Job Responsibility:

Assistant Leasd Baker, you will be responsible for working in a team environment, coaching and leading as needed, overseeing all aspects of our bakery's production, ensuring the delivery of exceptional baked goods. Your leadership and expertise will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the quality and reputation of our bakery.

Full Time, Five days a week, consistent days

4 am start

Wage range - $20-$25

Responsibilities:

• Production:
• Work alongside the baking team, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Assist in coordinating production schedules to meet demand and maintain efficient operations.
• Adhere to high standards of quality and hygiene.
• Recipe Development:
• Collaborate with the management team to develop new and innovative recipes.
• Optimize existing recipes for taste, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Quality Assurance:
• Conduct regular quality checks on baked goods and provide constructive feedback.
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee consistency.
• Training and Development:
• Assist in training new team members on baking techniques, safety protocols, and company standards.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and skill development within the team.
• Inventory Management:
• Oversee inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies.
• Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.

Qualifications:

• Red Seal certification in Baking.
• Proven experience as a lead or supervisory baker in a commercial bakery of minimum of 5 years.
• In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and production processes.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Must be able to lift a minimum 10kg.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
