Job Summary
Fraser Health Authority (FHA) and the Mental Health and Substance Use Program are seeking a Psychiatrist to provide inpatient and community adult psychiatry services across Chilliwack General Hospital and the surrounding communities of Chilliwack, Agassiz, and Hope. The role involves assessment, treatment, family meetings, case conferences, discharge planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The psychiatrist will promote continuity of care by maintaining strong relationships with all care providers and advocating for patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the ECT rotation.
- Participate in on‑call rotation.
- Participate in the medical education program for University of British Columbia undergraduate and postgraduate trainees.
- After obtaining a CPSBC license, work with UBC to obtain a clinical appointment with the Department of Psychiatry.
Compensation
- Combination of Alternative Payment Plan and Fee for Service.
- Eligible for up to $10,000 relocation reimbursement.
- On‑call payments (MOCAP).
Qualifications
- CMPA.
- Eligibility for CPSBC full, provisional, or provisional license.
- Eligible for Full CPSBC license.
- FRCPC eligible.
Locations
- Chilliwack General Hospital, Community – Chilliwack.
