Experienced In House Counsel For Construction Law Markham

You will lead the legal function, advising on construction and commercial issues while handling complex contracts.
Your role involves negotiating high‑stakes agreements and ensuring compliance with the Ontario's Construction Act. Manage disputes and supervise our Law Clerk to uphold quality standards in legal execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high‑level legal advice to operational teams
- Negotiate and finalize complex construction contracts
- Guide compliance with Ontario's Construction Act
- Oversee litigation, arbitration, and mediation efforts
- Mentor the Law Clerk and set work priorities
Requirements
- Law degree (LL.B. or J.D.) in positive standing
- 4–9 years legal experience in relevant fields
- Solid understanding of Ontario's Construction Act
- Superior negotiation and drafting skills
- Proven track record in staff leadership
