Position Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Richmond BC (In-Person)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time (40 hrs a week)
Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 annually, plus bonus potential

POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Richmond. This is a hands-on role responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and regulatory filings. Experience with unionized payroll and Jonas Construction Software is considered a strong asset.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Process accounts payable, including invoice entry, coding, reconciliations, and payment preparation
- Administer union and non-union payroll, including payroll reporting and remittances
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations on a regular basis
- Prepare and file regulatory and statutory filings, including payroll remittances, GST/PST, WCB, and other compliance-related reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end close, including intercompany invoicing and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate, complete, and well-organized accounting records and supporting documentation
- Support ad hoc accounting and administration requests as required
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance across financial processes
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong working knowledge of accounts payable, payroll, and reconciliations
- Solid understanding of Canadian payroll and regulatory requirements (CRA, WCB, EHT, GST/PST)
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage deadlines effectively, work independently, and collaborate within a team
- Experience with Jonas Construction Software is preferred
- Experience running payroll in a unionized environment is preferred
