Position Description
We currently have an exciting role for a Journeyman(Red Seal) Heavy Duty Mechanic to service our fleet of commercial vehicles in our Calahoo, AB location.
Position Responsibilities
- Ability to service and repairs of all Company vehicles/equipment
- Ability to perform CVIP inspections
- Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems
- Demonstrates the ability to plan and prioritize work and material requirements and operate independently
- Ability to perform services and repairs out of service truck
- Perform preventive maintenance services
- Ensure service and maintenance practices meet the regulatory requirements
- Expected to play a leading role in implementing and promoting workplace safety and professionalism and recommend positive workplace change
- Additional duties may be required
Qualifications
- Journeyman Heavy Duty mechanic
- Red Seal
- CVIP certification or willing to aquire
- Class 3 license considered an asset
- Full understanding of all relevant safety and compliance regulations, policies
- 2 years maintenance experience considered an asset
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience in waste equipment and function is considered an asset
