Join our dynamic Engineering team in Canada and under supervision of the Project Engineer lead the transit station design for Ontario-based clients. As the PIS Design Manager, you will manage a team of CAD/BIM resources in developing system design drawings as well as a team of technicians responsible for installing, commissioning, testing, and maintaining systems.

• Coordinating complex transit and integrated systems projects
• Managing both design and field resources 
• Collaborating with others across disciplines
• Analysing and troubleshooting technical issues 
• Managing multiple deliverables, design reviews, commissioning activities, and stakeholder expectations
• Being the clients’ main point of contact 

You are

• Able to clearly explain technical concepts clearly to project managers, clients, installers, technicians, and other non-technical stakeholders
• Skilled at building and maintaining relationships and managing people, including setting goals, coaching and managing performance for others 
• Strong at collaboration, communication and consensus building
• Comfortable with change and ambiguity
• Proactive and solution-focused
• Organized and capable of managing multiple interfaces and priorities

What you Bring to the Table

• 2-5 years of technical project coordination experience

• 8+ years of progressive experience in the design, implementation, testing, and commissioning of passenger information and transit communication systems (PIS), including Public Address (PA), Passenger Information Displays (PID), telephony, and related integrated systems

• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary design teams, coordinating CAD/BIM design development, and supporting installation and commissioning activities for transit, rail, or transportation infrastructure projects

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM workflows, and PA acoustic design/modeling is required, while experience with CCTV, fire alarm, and passenger counting systems is considered an asset.
