We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to provide comprehensive business analysis services for enterprise IT and digital modernization initiatives. In this role, you will lead requirements gathering, facilitate stakeholder alignment sessions, analyze complex business processes, and design future-state operational models. Working in a collaborative environment, you will translate user needs and technical requirements into actionable user stories, process maps, and business architectures to ensure successful technology delivery.

Location: Toronto, ON (Fully Onsite – 5 days/week required)

Duration: 11-month contract.

Responsibilities
Requirements Elicitation & Facilitation: Lead and facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, JAD sessions, and discovery meetings to elicit, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements.

Process Modeling & Re-engineering: Map comprehensive current-state ("As-Is") and future-state ("To-Be") workflows, process maps, business rules, and gap analyses to support business transformation.

Agile Artifact Creation: Author detailed use cases, user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices aligned with iterative delivery lifecycles.

Business Case & Strategy Development: Formulate feasibility studies, business cases, cost-benefit models, and options analyses for proposed technology solutions.

Testing & Quality Assurance Support: Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by validating business rules, creating test scenarios, and ensuring delivered systems satisfy core business needs.

Change Management & Readiness: Identify operational risks, develop transition strategies, and author user documentation, briefing materials, and executive reports.

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams, subject matter experts, and business leaders to align solution designs with organizational goals.

Qualifications
Stakeholder Facilitation & Elicitation: Proven, hands-on experience facilitating stakeholder interviews, JAD sessions, workshops, and structured requirements-gathering activities (Strictly Required).

Process Modeling Mastery: Demonstrated experience developing detailed current-state ("As-Is") and future-state ("To-Be") process models and workflow diagrams (Strictly Required).

Business Analysis Experience: Demonstrated track record documenting business rules, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements traceability matrices.

Tooling Proficiency: Strong hands-on proficiency with workflow modeling tools (e.g., MS Visio) and Agile management platforms (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).

Delivery Frameworks: Proven experience delivering business analysis deliverables across Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid environments.

Nice-to-Have Assets:
Prior experience collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within public sector or enterprise governance environments.

Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles and accessibility standards (e.g., AODA).
