Hourly Wage: $25 per hour (depending on experience)

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing & Inventory Control Clerk to join their team. This role supports the purchasing process, maintains accurate inventory records, coordinates with vendors, and ensures materials and supplies are available when needed. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is skilled at multitasking, and has strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and process purchase orders for materials, supplies, and equipment
• Monitor inventory levels daily and reorder stock as needed
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the company’s database or ERP system
• Track shipments and follow up with vendors regarding order status or discrepancies
• Perform regular cycle counts and assist with full physical inventories
• Reconcile variances between system records and physical stock
• Coordinate with internal departments to forecast material needs
• Research suppliers for best pricing, quality, and lead times
• Maintain organized purchasing and inventory documentation
• Assist with invoice matching and resolve purchasing/receiving discrepancies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2–4 years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, or a related role
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with ERP systems is an asset
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Clear communication skills for working with both internal teams and suppliers
• Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to manage multiple tasks

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of procurement or supply chain processes
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving practices
• Ability to negotiate pricing and vendor terms
• Experience maintaining inventory accuracy in warehouse environments
