Overview

Control Engineer (Vehicle Architecture) based in St-Bruno, QC. Responsibilities include delivering Train Control documentation from architecture to detail specification, interface, and Pure Principle Scheme.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for delivering the Train Control documentation (Requirement Specification and Architecture Description RSAD, Technical Purchase Specification TPS, Interface Control Document ICD).
• Defining and implementing the functional, performance, transverse, and train-level requirements of the system.
• Integrating the system into the project.
• Defining the interface for the system.
• Verifying the system (focus on train level and TCMS), including design reviews.
• Managing change and configuration for the system on the train level.
• Controlling changes after design modifications, including impact analysis.
• Planning and following up all activities linked to the system.
• Providing inputs to engineering teams, sourcing, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (automation, automated production, electrical, or related field).
• Member of the OIQ.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the railway field or related field (aerospace, automotive, bus).
• Understanding of systems engineering processes.
• Knowledge of network topologies and interfaces for serial, Ethernet, VB, and other communication networks.
• Experience with model-based development tools such as Matlab/Simulink, Control Build, etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Teams.
• Knowledge of electrical and schematic design activity.
• Functional level proficiency in French and English.
• Good communication skills.
