We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Purchaser to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. As a Junior Purchaser, you will play a vital role in supporting the procurement of materials, supplies, and services required for our Janitorial Cleaning Services and Kitchen Exhaust Hood Cleaning Services. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a desire to contribute to the success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vendor Management: Assist in sourcing, selecting, and managing suppliers for janitorial supplies, cleaning chemicals, equipment, and kitchen exhaust hood cleaning materials.
• Inventory Management: Track inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and ensure adequate supply for day-to-day operations, avoiding shortages or excess stock.
• Order Processing: Create and process purchase orders, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of required materials and equipment.
• Cost Management: Assist in negotiating pricing, reviewing quotations, and ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints.
• Quality Control: Ensure that purchased materials and products meet the company's quality standards and specifications.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate purchasing records, tracking deliveries, and ensuring all invoices and receipts are processed and filed correctly.
• Communication: Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., operations, maintenance, and cleaning teams) to understand material requirements and supply needs.
• Reporting: Assist in preparing regular procurement reports to track purchase trends, expenditure, and inventory levels.
• Problem Resolution: Address issues such as delayed deliveries or discrepancies in orders in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (College/University degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field is an asset).
• Experience: Prior experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management (preferably in the cleaning or facilities management industry) is a plus but not required.
• Skills:
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• Familiarity with purchasing software or inventory management systems is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00-$42,000.00 per year
