You will foster a culture of empathy, safety, and well-being, while ensuring our Assisted Living services exceed the expectations of residents and their families.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver high-quality, individualized care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Ensure residents’ needs are met with empathy, respect, and professionalism
• Act as primary contact for residents and families, addressing inquiries and involving them in care decisions
• Supervise, schedule, and support care staff through training, coaching, and Chartwell’s values
• Uphold policies and regulatory standards, ensuring safe medication practices and accurate clinical documentation
• Collaborate with managers across departments to deliver holistic, integrated resident care
• Support budgeting, staffing, and purchasing to maintain operational and resource efficiency
• Liaise with physicians, pharmacies, and community partners; participate in outreach, marketing, and Manager on Duty rotation

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum of two years clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in geriatrics or memory care
• Previous management or supervisory experience is an asset
• Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses
• Leadership and team-building skills
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Retirement Homes Act and Nursing Act
• Valid Driver’s License, or reliable means of transportation

Additional Requirements

• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Valid provincial driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
• Comfort using AI and other digital platform systems and tools to support daily work
• Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
