Live-In Nanny & Family Assistant — Trinity Bellwoods (Weekends & Evenings) Position type: Live-in, full-time · Start: October 2026 · Rate: $26/hour bonus · Hours: 35/week Children: One, age 4 (in school) Description Warm Toronto family in Trinity Bellwoods (Dundas & Ossington) seeks an experienced live-in nanny and family assistant for a long-term position with our son, age 4. An honest note on the schedule: this role is weighted toward weekends and evenings. Our son is in school, so our need is afternoons, Saturdays, part of Sundays, and a few evenings a week. That means your weekday mornings and early afternoons are your own. If you're looking for a Monday-to-Friday daytime job this isn't it — but if that shape suits you, it's a genuinely good arrangement. A typical week (35 hours): Approximately 3-4 hours/day (Mon-Fri) After-school care, roughly 3:45–5pm, (4 days per week) Saturday, around 8 hours of primary care Sunday, around 4 hours Two to three scheduled evenings, mostly monitor coverage while we go out for dinner or a walk. These are booked a week ahead. The work is mostly childcare. Playing, reading, parks and outdoor time, preparing his meals and snacks, supporting his routines, tidying up after activities. We care about warmth and connection alongside clear boundaries — minimal screens, active play, lots of reading. Light household support, not housekeeping. We have a cleaner for the heavy work. What we'd ask of you is keeping things in order day to day: laundry, a tidy kitchen in the evening, organized common areas, and one weekly session prepping simple healthy meals for the adults. What's included: private suite on its own floor with its own bathroom, utilities, shared kitchen access. Paid vacation and statutory entitlements. Performance bonus on top of the hourly rate. Household vehicle available if you drive, though driving isn't required. Living in doesn't mean being on call. Your hours are scheduled in advance and your time outside them is yours. We're looking for someone who wants a stable, long-term position with one family, this is not a short-term arrangement for us. Skills / experience required 2 years professional childcare experience, comfortable independently with a school-age child. Genuine availability for Saturdays, Sunday hours, and 2–3 evenings weekly is the most critical aspect of this role. Comfortable with light household upkeep and cooking simple healthy meals. Warm, patient, reliable, punctual. Good communicator, open to feedback, respectful of family privacy. Looking for a long-term position; we'd love to hear about previous roles you stayed in for years.
