Personnel Officer for Workplace Safety
Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB)
Drive workplace safety as a Personnel Officer, focusing on prevention strategies and employee wellness. Engage with all stakeholders to enhance the safety culture within the organization. You will support the Coordinator of health, safety, and quality of life at work while managing comprehensive analyses of workplace situations. Your role involves developing risk identification strategies, implementing health and safety protocols, and advising on safety compliance practices. You'll play a crucial role in fostering a safer working environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate health and safety initiatives
- Consult on laws and internal safety standards
- Conduct accident trend analysis and provide recommendations
- Lead and represent health and safety committees
- Maintain safety and hazardous material information systems
- Degree in administration or human resources
- Three years of relevant experience in occupational hygiene
- Proficient in safety regulations
- Proven leadership and facilitation skills
- Requires English and French fluency, Cree is an asset
