Sales Engineer (Enterprise)

Job Title: Sales Engineer (Enterprise)
Location: Mississauga, Canada (Hybrid)
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow revenue through consultative selling with clients and prospects, presenting a warm, professional, well-spoken, and caring persona as an effective representative of SOTI.
- Provide email and telephone-based pre‑sales technical support for our software products.
- Perform production demonstrations that articulate the business and technical value of SOTI solutions.
- Collaborate with regional sales team consultatively with clients/stakeholders.
- Help clients envision the possibility of mobility.
- Educate and facilitate SOTI solutions that can address business and technical outcomes, positioning business value to customer organization decision-makers.
- Present solution architecture, including all technical aspects of the product and supporting systems.
- Provide pre‑sales technical support, installing and configuring enterprise software solutions during POC to prospective customers.
- Communicate with internal product development teams to resolve product issues and generate recommendations for product roadmaps (feature requests).
- Assist with the execution of internal team projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3‑5 years of work experience related to mobile device management solutions and enterprise mobility (Android, iOS, Linux, Windows), BYOD, SaaS.
- Prior experience in a technical customer‑facing role, ideally as a pre‑sales or sales engineer.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with demonstrated ability to communicate the complexities of technical programs.
- Knowledge of computer networking principles (DNS, IP network, firewalls, etc.).
- Knowledge of Single Sign‑On (SSO), Identity Application Management (IAM), Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), Identity provider (IdP), certificate authorities, certificate management and distribution, encryption methodologies (SHA1/2, TLS, etc.).
- Knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP protocol, and identity management systems.
- Understanding and experience with databases (MS SQL server, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
- Understanding and/or knowledge of business processes and sales cycle.
- Knowledge of containerization and virtualization.
- Work autonomously with minimum supervision; plan, prioritize, and organize workload within service standards and objectives.
Nice to Have
- Cisco Certified Network Associate or equivalent.
- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) – Exchange or equivalent experience.
- Understanding or knowledge of Cloud Computing or certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
- Android Enterprise Professional.
- Formal sales training (value selling, SPIN, Miller Heiman).
- Understanding of REST APIs and coding (Java scripting, HTML, etc.).
- Experience with customer service / Incident management software.
- Multilingual capabilities.
