Lead the Shean Co-op team as a General Manager in Inverness, Nova Scotia. Drive growth, enhance community impact, and support a member-owned cooperative with a rich history. Shean Co-op seeks an experienced General Manager passionate about operational excellence and community service. In this leadership role, you will guide approximately 35 employees, oversee retail operations, and ensure a stellar customer experience. Identify opportunities for revenue growth while fostering a collaborative workplace culture aligned with cooperative principles. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide overall leadership for the co-op’s operational aspects
• Coach and develop a team of about 35 employees
• Manage daily retail operations and enhance the customer experience
• Develop budgets and monitor financial performance
• Build relationships with the Board and community stakeholders Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in business or management
• Minimum three years in a leadership role
• Strong business acumen and budget management
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Familiarity with cooperative business models is a plus Use your leadership and operational skills to shape the future of Shean Co-op and its community impact.
