Strategic Litigation Legal Manager Pomerleau

Elevate your legal career as Legal Manager – Litigation at Pomerleau, a leading construction firm in Canada. Provide strategic legal advice and manage complex legal matters across eastern Canada. This pivotal role reports to the Senior Director of Legal Affairs. You will lead a team of Legal Counsel while delivering business-focused solutions for ongoing projects. Key responsibilities include managing disputes, advising on risk management strategies, and offering legal counsel on various construction-related issues, all while ensuring effective representation during legal proceedings. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic legal advice to project teams
- Manage active legal disputes for Pomerleau
- Advise on risk management strategies and policies
- Oversee external counsel during legal processes
- Conduct internal legal training seminars
- 8 to 12 years in construction or commercial litigation
- Strong legal reasoning and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and advocacy abilities
- Ability to manage multiple files in tight timelines
- LL.B. or J.D. and bar membership in Canada
