Job Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supports the ongoing administrative activities for the department while supporting the administrative assistants as their leader. The incumbent is expected to initiate solutions to an array of situations, and maintain the confidentiality of the department. This position requires a motivated self-starter who can balance multiple tasks in a fast paced manufacturing environment with a positive, cooperative attitude.

POSITION SALARY:
$86,137.92 CAD Annually

This range reflects only the base salary and does not include other components of our total compensation package, such as the Continuous Improvement Program, GRRSP Matching, MBC Program, and other variable benefits.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• High school diploma
• Post-Secondary education in an administrative program OR equivalent education and work-related experience in an industrial environment.
• Minimum three (3) years' administrative experience.
• One (1) year supervisory experience.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform all duties and promote themselves in a manner that reflects Formet Expectations and Formet's Visions/Values through Magna's Employee Charter.
• Follow and abide by all government, Legal, Magna and Formet rules and regulations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.
• Manage and coordinate projects from investigation to implementation as assigned.
• Perform all daily administrative activities of Senior Management including; filing, typing, photocopying, maintaining stationary supplies, answering telephones and faxes, courier, payroll etc.
• Maintain business files, statistical reports and records.
• Maintain confidentiality of appropriate information.
• Organizational abilities necessary to effectively schedule appointments and meetings; prepare for meetings; make travel arrangements and reservations; receive visitors and route mail.
• Coordinate the work tasks of the administrative assistants (standardize plant wide administrative commonalities).
• Facilitate interaction with Team Members, other Divisions and the Corporate offices.
• Generate report presentations by designated deadlines.
• Complete performance feedback when necessary.
• Set up, facilitate and participate in interviews and meetings when necessary.
• Purchasing / procurement of team building / giveaways / events.
• Maintain and support department budget.
• Perform other duties as designated.

SALARY TEAM MEMBER BENEFITS:

• Weekly pay via direct deposit.
• Overtime (1.5x) after 44 hours worked.

• Vacation entitlement:
  • 2 weeks of paid vacation (3 weeks after 3 years) + 4 company paid holidays + 2x ½ days = 15 days annually.
  • Option to bank your overtime to earn up to an extra 5 days of paid time off (approved in the same manner as vacation time) (27 hours x 1.5 = 40 hours).
