Family Law Clerk/Assistant (Full Time, Hybrid)

Cybulski Chettiar Johnston LLP is a small, dynamic law firm located in downtown Ottawa, across from the courthouse. We are seeking a dedicated Family Law Assistant/Law Clerk to join our team. This full-time offers a salary starting at $65,000, increasing dependent on work experience and qualifications. After an initial in-office training period, the position will be hybrid. There is some flexibility regarding office hours and daily start time. The start date is negotiable.

Key Responsibilities:

Communicating with clients on administrative matters

Assisting with file management and disclosure management

Serving and filing court documents

Drafting and editing court documents and correspondence

General clerical work

Requirements:

Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products, including Outlook and Word

Strong writing skills are imperative

Client service or customer service experience is highly valued

Minimum 1 year of work experience as a family law assistant or clerk or a minimum of 2 years of experience as a law clerk or legal assistant in other areas of law

Enjoy learning new technologies and working with new apps

Good organizational skills and a general propensity to orderliness

Willingness to carefully follow confidentiality and privacy protocols
