Director of Operations

THE SHORT VERSION

We are a social-first creative studio in Victoria. We primarily run social media and paid advertising for businesses: we come up with the ideas, film them, edit them, write the captions, schedule the posts, and run the ads behind them. Full service, hands-off for the client.

This is the job of making sure that everything we promise our clients actually happens, on time, at the quality we promise. If you like being the person who is ambitious, extremely organized, great with management, time and scheduling, this is a very good role. If you want a creative, visionary role, it is a very bad one.

We are a small and rapidly growing company. The salary will reflect company growth and performance. As we grow, you grow.

WHAT YOU ACTUALLY DO

• Coordination: You are the first call for our clients. Weekly touchpoints, monthly check-ins, and the person a client comes to when they need something.

• Run the content cycle: Every client is on a monthly loop: you will make sure we know when to ideate, film, edit, approve, schedule, report for each client. You run that loop for all of them at once, and no client falls off it.

• Manage the team: Make sure our editors know what to edit and when. You ensure any growth ideas are kept on track of, and never slip. You assign the work, set the deadlines, and review every piece of content before it goes out.

• Other: Participate in ideation, sales, direct video shoots.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Ruthlessly organized. You build your own systems and reminders, and nothing slips, because there is nobody above you catching what you drop.

A strong, calm communicator. Most of this job is email, WhatsApp, and client calls, including the awkward ones.

Real project management experience. Multiple concurrent deadlines across multiple clients is the entire job.

Genuinely good with AI tools. We run a lot of our operation through Claude and automated workflows, and we expect you to extend that, not avoid it.

Comfortable on a set. You do not need to be a videographer, but you need to be able to walk into a client's business and confidently support our video shoot.

Based in Victoria, or willing to be. Shoots are in person. A vehicle is helpful but not required.

Marketing agency or in-house social media experience is a big advantage. An understanding of marketing, social media, and algorithms is a huge bonus here!
