Catering Manager

Position Summary:

Radisson Hotel and Conference Centre Calgary Airport is looking for the position of Catering Sales Manager who provides support to our sales and events team. This role is the first point of contact with customers. Must be comfortable dealing with customers in person, over the phone, and via email. This position has great growth potential for the right individual.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize catering events from start to finish, including menu selection, staffing, and logistics.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing expert advice on menu options and service styles.
• Supervise food preparation and presentation, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
• Manage inventory of food supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock levels.
• Train and mentor catering staff on food handling procedures, customer service, and event execution.
• Coordinate with other departments such as sales, kitchen, and service staff to ensure seamless event delivery.
• Monitor event budgets and expenses, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising quality.
• Address any client concerns or issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 to 4 years of sales experience preferably in hospitality.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of food and beverage operations and catering procedures.
• Experience in hotel sales and catering, preferably in a similar role.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership and team management skills
