Commercial Energy Associate Lawyer

Commercial energy law expertise meets complex transactions in Calgary, with drafting, negotiation, and advisory work across evolving energy sectors.This mid to senior level associate works with a diverse client base on domestic and international matters. The practice spans oil and gas, conventional power, renewable energy, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and project development. The role includes mentorship and sponsorship within a high-performing group.Key Responsibilities:
Draft and negotiate commercial agreements and transaction documentsAdvise clients on energy projects and developmentsSupport mergers and acquisitions, including share and asset salesHandle joint ventures and limited partnership structuresWork on transportation, storage, and power purchase arrangementsRequirements:
Two to six years of post-call corporate or energy law experienceExperience in oil and gas, power, renewables, or related transactionsLaw degree and Alberta Law Society membership in good standingStrong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and business judgment skillsExcellent organizational, project management, and client service abilitiesApply your transactional, drafting, and energy law skills across significant commercial mandates in Calgary with a national platform.
