Position Summary:
ITD is currently seeking a Structural Engineer responsible for oversight of on-site chassis engineering projects including: Design, fabrication, production and implementation of fixtures to increase manufacturing output, oversee equipment installation, troubleshooting of control system hardware and software, engineering support for trades.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for design, fabrication, production and implementation of new fixtures.
- Ensuring processes comply with safety and quality standards.
- Installation of fixtures
- Full-life cycle project support, including system design, troubleshooting, system engineering, programming, factory testing, commissioning, and validation.
- Integration of third-party control systems
- Specification, design, procurement and acceptance of instrumentation, control panels, and power distribution to machine centers and processing skids
- Create and modify schematics with AutoCAD
- Review of shop drawings
- Performing risk assessments of the equipment and processes being used
- Providing the Product Manager with process documents and standard operating procedures
- develop and improve industrial processes to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
- Lean Six Sigma is an asset.
- Proven work experience as a Process Engineer.
- Experience working with Solidworks and AutoCAD.
- Advanced technical skills.
- Analytical thinker.
- Ability to project manage and Multitask in a fast-paced environment.
