Project & Control Engineer Opportunity OPG
Ontario Power Generation
Join Ontario Power Generation as a Project & Control Engineer in Thunder Bay, ON. Oversee project schedules and budgets while utilizing top-tier analytical tools for effective management. This contract role, lasting up to 24 months, requires leading project controls initiatives across major hydroelectric projects. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and finance professionals, leveraging your advanced skills in Primavera P6 and Excel to deliver high-quality insights. Monitor project performance, forecast schedules, and manage budgets to support ongoing operational success. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead schedule and budget management for projects
- Provide risk assessments and facilitate planning activities
- Deliver performance monitoring and cost analysis outputs
- Maintain and assess project change management practices
- Create dashboards and reports for clear insights
- 4-year degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance
- Preferred PMP designation
- 6-8 years’ experience in project management functions
- Expert use of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of project controls and infrastructure methods
