Finance Officer for OCDSB

Ottawa-Carleton District School Board

Join the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board as a Finance Officer specializing in financial planning. This full-time role focuses on budget management and financial reporting within an educational context. The Finance Officer will report to the Team Manager of Financial Planning, ensuring that the Board's budget aligns with its priorities. Candidates should bring expertise in financial management, organizational skills, and proficiency with various software tools, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office. You'll assist internal departments and external stakeholders with insightful financial data and support the execution of the Board's financial strategy. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare annual budget packages for Board approval
Monitor operating expenditures against the approved budget
Conduct analyses for strategic financial decision-making
Provide financial data to Continuing Education and OCENET
Develop responses to ad hoc financial information requests

Requirements:

University degree in business administration or commerce
Minimum 5 years in financial/management accounting
CPA designation is required
Advanced skills in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
