Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Brampton, ON

Wage: $30.00/hr

Shift: Monday to Thursday 8:0am - 4:30pm

We are seeking Industrial Maintenance Mechanics for a well-established manufacturing client supporting production of precision automotive and industrial components.

This is a long-term opportunity for skilled tradespeople to perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and equipment repairs in a fast-paced production environment with strong growth potential.

Job Duties

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment and machinery
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions
• Conduct basic electrical repairs and component replacements
• Perform welding and metal fabrication projects using MIG or TIG welding equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to complete repairs and installations
• Replace and maintain bearings, belts, chain rollers, drive shafts, motors, gearboxes, air hoses, air fittings, air gauges, air cylinders, solenoid valves, and related components
• Follow all Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures and safety protocols during maintenance activities
• Inspect equipment and identify potential maintenance concerns before breakdowns occur
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report equipment issues as required
• Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and continuous improvement projects
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely when required
• Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to ensure efficient operations
• Support emergency repairs and respond to equipment breakdowns as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience working in an industrial maintenance environment
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues with minimal supervision
• Hands-on MIG or TIG welding experience (required)
• Experience performing preventative maintenance on industrial equipment
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints and drawings
• Experience following Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures
• Active forklift licence
• Ability to perform basic electrical work, including changing lights, outlets, and switches
• Own hand tools (major tools provided by the company)
• Strong English communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, unionized environment
• Willingness to work overtime and extended hours as required
• Knowledge of shot peening machines is considered an asset
