ADMINISTRATIVE TECHNICIAN

The Kativik Regional Government (KRG), a supra municipal body with jurisdiction over the territory located north of the 55th parallel, is now looking for a self-motivated and dynamic individual interested in joining the KRG to work in the capacity of:




ADMINISTRATIVE TECHNICIAN - Kuujjuaq


(PERMENANT, FULL-TIME POSITION)




Reporting to the Director of the Sustainable Employment Department and working closely with the other staff members, the Administrative Technician will have the following responsibilities, without being limited:




§ Process and controlling activities related to the reception and handling of applications, invoices and any other documents;


§ Assist in the diffusion of information;


§ Draft, type, format, bind and copy letters or documents;


§ Prepare travel for consultants when required; Develop and maintain the department filing system;


§ Deliver and process mail correspondence for programs;


§ Respond to telephone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries;


§ Document preparations for program meeting as needed; Assist in the data input with the current systems in place such as FileMaker pro and other software;


§ Perform other related duties as required by supervisor.


QUALIFICATIONS




§ High school diploma or related work experience;


§ Minimum of two (2) years of experience in administrative work;


§ Written and oral working knowledge of at least two (2) of the following languages: Inuktitut, English and French;


§ Good working knowledge of computers;


§ Ability to work independently, excellent organization skills.

Salary: Min. $40, 906 yearly - Max. $66, 291 a year based on 35 hours/week.


Other Benefits: Cost of living differential: Minimum of $8 500/year

Relevant du directeur du Service de l’emploi durable, le technicien en administration sera chargé, sans toutefois s’y limiter, des tâches suivantes :

• Diriger et contrôler les activités relatives à la réception et au traitement des demandes, des factures et autres documents;
• Aider à la diffusion des renseignements;
• Rédiger, dactylographier, formater, relier et copier les lettres ou les documents;
• Préparer les déplacements des consultants selon les besoins; élaborer et tenir à jour le système de classement du Service;
• Distribuer et traiter le courrier et la correspondance pour les programmes;
• Répondre aux appels téléphoniques, aux courriels et aux demandes de renseignements en personne;
• Préparer les documents pour les réunions de programmation, au besoin; aider à la saisie de données avec les systèmes actuels en place, tels que FileMaker Pro et autres logiciels;
• Effectuer d’autres tâches connexes à la demande du superviseur.
  
  

• Diplôme d’études secondaires ou expérience professionnelle connexe;
• Minimum de deux (2) ans d’expérience en travail administratif;
• Connaissance pratique d’au moins deux (2) des langues suivantes, à l’écrit et à l’oral : inuktitut, anglais et français;
• Bonne connaissance pratique de Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
• Capacité à travailler de manière indépendante, excellentes capacités d’organisation.

Salaire : Minimum de 40 906 $ et maximum de 66 291 $ par an, semaine de 35 heures.
