L’Administration régionale Kativik (ARK) est un organisme supra municipal qui exerce sa compétence sur le territoire du Québec situé au nord du 55e parallèle. L’ARK cherche actuellement à recruter un candidat dynamique et motivé pour occuper à Kuujjuaq le poste de : Spécialiste en environnement, Transports Relevant du coordonnateur en environnement, Transports, le spécialiste en environnement, Transports, aura pour fonction d’assurer la conformité aux lois et règlements relatifs à l’environnement dans les 14 infrastructures aéroportuaires et maritimes du Nunavik. Plus précisément, le rôle du spécialiste de l’environnement devra :
Salaire : Min : 63 716 $ – max : 109 329 $ par an

- Fournir de l’assistance, de l’expertise et de la formation en environnement, en général, aux 14 aéroports et marinas;
- Conseiller les employés du Service des transports lors d’un déversement accidentel dans l’un des 14 aéroports et marinas et participer à la gestion de la base de données des sols contaminés, des déversements accidentels et historiques, des projets de rétablissement en cours et terminés;
- Faire des inspections et des vérifications environnementales annuelles dans tous les aéroports et marinas de l’ARK et présenter des recommandations sur les mesures correctrices applicables appropriées;
- Fournir un soutien et une formation sur la manutention, le stockage et l’élimination des matières dangereuses et des déchets résiduels;
- Mettre en place des plans, politiques et procédures normalisées relativement à l’environnement pour la surveillance des activités de fonctionnement dans les aéroports et les marinas et veiller à la conformité des employés et des activités du Service des transports aux règlements;
- Planifier et participer à la mise en oeuvre des plans d’action d’urgence environnementale et planifier des exercices d’urgence environnementale;
- Participer aux autres programmes et comités environnementaux, y compris la gestion de la faune à l’aéroport, la protection marine, la suppression de la poussière et la gestion du glycol;
- Effectuer toute autre tâche nécessaire.
- Un diplôme universitaire en études environnementales ou dans un domaine connexe. Une combinaison équivalente d'une solide formation académique, de formation technique et d'expérience professionnelle pertinente peut être prise en compte.
- Au moins deux ans d’expérience dans un domaine connexe (des expériences de terrain en travaux environnementaux seraient un atout);
- Excellentes capacités d’organisation;
- Solides compétences en matière de communication orale et écrite;
- Capacités manifestes à travailler efficacement sous supervision limitée;
- Excellentes compétences en matière de travail d’équipe et de gestion des relations;
- Une bonne compréhension des questions autochtones et du Nord en général est considérée comme un atout;
- Connaissance pratique d’au moins deux (2) langues parmi les suivantes, à l’oral et à l’écrit : inuktitut, français et anglais;
- Connaissance pratique des applications logicielles (Microsoft Office);
- Capacité à voyager fréquemment partout au Nunavik.
