Expected Start Date: September 17, 2026 Union: SUN Facility: Public Health Office - South Regina City/Town: Regina Department: Public Health Nursing Type: Part-time temporary Expected Up to Date: March 01, 2027 FTE: 0.5 Shift Information: Days, Evenings, Weekends Number of Hours per Rotation: 112 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Standard Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.880 to $53.490 Travel Required: No Job : The Public Health Nurse directly delivers public health nursing service to individuals, families and communities in an assigned geographic area within the Saskatchewan Health Authority (formerly RQHR). The Public Health Nurse carries out public health nursing activities under the supervision of the Public Health Nursing Supervisor. This employee works relatively independently and is expected to make primary decisions based on sound assessments according to accepted policies and procedures of the nursing program and the Saskatchewan Health Authority and SRNA Standards of practices. This employee will facilitate in identifying needs of individuals, families, groups or communities and will assist in the development of programs/services, carry out immunization, assess client needs, make home visits, counsel and provide health promotion services. This employee liaises with, and refers to, other health personnel and agencies, as well as works closely with community groups. The home base for this position is 3621 Pasqua Street. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience- Minimum of one (1) year Public Health Nursing experience is an asset.
Education
- Current registration with CRNS and current BCLS certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Course credits in community health and public health nursing are required
