Economical Director of Underwriting Quality

Step into a pivotal role as the Quality Review and Compliance Director at Economical, part of Definity. This unique position balances leadership in underwriting quality with compliance oversight in a hybrid work setting. You will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for underwriting quality and compliance across Commercial Insurance portfolios. Your role will involve developing governance frameworks and performance oversight to ensure alignment with service standards and regulatory requirements. A strong background in risk management will be essential for success in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead governance for underwriting quality reviews nationally
- Supervise audits for quality and compliance adherence
- Analyze trends and report to senior leadership
- Oversee compliance and risk management programs
- Drive training and process optimization initiatives
- Undergraduate degree in Finance or Insurance
- At least 10 years in underwriting and compliance
- Leadership experience in complex environments
- Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
