Overview:

The Employee Experience (EX) team helps give employees a voice. We design and deliver employee listening programs that help leaders understand what employees are experiencing, identify opportunities for improvement, and measure progress over time. Through employee surveys, people analytics, reporting, and action planning, we provide insights that influence organizational decisions and help create a workplace where employees feel heard, valued, and supported. The Employee Experience Co-op Student will have the opportunity to contribute to these initiatives while gaining practical experience in employee engagement, data analysis, project management, communications, and HR strategy.

The Employee Experience Associate will play an active role in supporting these efforts by helping to administer employee surveys, analyze data, conduct research, develop communications and presentations, and coordinate key projects. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in employee engagement, people analytics, survey research, and HR strategy while working closely with HR professionals, business leaders, and executives. The successful candidate will contribute to projects that help shape the experiences of employees across the organization and develop skills that are highly valued in Human Resources, consulting, analytics, and organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities: 

Employee Listening & Survey Support

• Support the administration and execution of employee surveys, pulse surveys, and feedback initiatives.
• Assist with survey design, testing, communications, and deployment activities.
• Monitor response rates and help prepare participation tracking reports.
• Support the collection, organization, and analysis of employee feedback and comments.

Data Analytics & Reporting

• Analyze employee experience and engagement data to identify trends, themes, and opportunities.
• Summarize findings into clear and actionable insights for business leaders and HR partners.
• Assist with preparing executive-ready presentations and briefing materials.

Project Coordination

• Support planning and execution of employee experience initiatives and annual programs.
• Assist with project plans, timelines, meeting coordination, and stakeholder follow-up activities.
• Track action items and help ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including HR, Communications, Learning & Development, and business leaders.

Communications & Engagement

• Assist in developing communication materials to support employee listening and action planning activities.
• Help create presentations, newsletters, infographics, and other employee-facing resources.
• Support initiatives that help leaders communicate survey results and action plans to their teams.

Job Requirements: 

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in: Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Behavior, Psychology, Data Analytics, or a related field

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Interest in employee engagement, workplace culture, HR strategy, or people analytics.
• Comfortable working with data and transforming information into insights.

Technical Skills

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with PowerPoint and other Microsoft 365 applications.
• Familiarity with data visualization, survey platforms, Qualtrics, or similar tools is considered an asset.
• Experience using AI tools and technology to improve productivity is an asset.

Hydro One requires that all students applying for student opportunities be enrolled in post-secondary level studies and be returning to full-time studies upon the completion of their work term. Exceptions will be made in cases where students require a work term in order to graduate.

The base salary for this role considers a variety of factors, including candidates' knowledge, skills, experience, education, and any applicable collective agreement requirements for union-represented positions.
