Developmental Special Education position - FTE 1.0 - Special Education qualifications- Specialist in Special Education highly recommended

• Required subject qualifications: Specialist in Special Education highly recommended
• FTE: 1.0
• Grade(s)/assignment: I/S - Grade 7 to 12
• Tentative course codes (if known): non-credit developmental courses for exceptional students- DEV- 'K' level course
• Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing
• Secondary Permanent Salary Range: $57,986 to $119,967/year (Placement on salary grid is based on QECO rating and teaching experience. Salary will be pro-rated based on the position FTE).

1. First Consideration: Teachers covered by the OSSTF Permanent Teachers' Collective Agreement (1.0., 0.5, Article 10 teachers) who possess the required qualifications.(For clarity, an Article 10 teacher is a day school teacher at Durham Continuing Education who has signed a contract with the Board They are considered Article 10 for the school year.)
2. Second Consideration: Candidates from outside of the OSSTF permanent bargaining unit.
